Position: Junior IT Auditor
Location: London
Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Per Annum
Job type: Permanent
Client provides expert information governance consultancy services to a broad range of organisations. Consulting services focus information management strategy and assessment with a significant element around GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) compliance and information auditing. This role will focus on the provision of consultancy services in the field of information management. The Senior Analyst / Junior Consultant will build relationships internally and with clients, to work effectively in the organisation and execution of business projects according to clients’ requirements. The ideal candidate will also possess great problem-solving skills to provide solutions and recommendations that will increase profitability and efficiency.
A significant proportion of the role will be client facing but you will also have the opportunity to become involved in researching and developing new service lines and products for client.
Duties :
Duties will include, but not be limited to:
Data / system mapping
Conducting audits
Evaluating existing / proposed information management technologies
Devising policies / procedures regarding network security issues
Formulating recommendations / solutions with attention to client requirements, capabilities and limitations
Providing guidance on IT risk management
Report writing
Building strong relationships internally, with clients and partners
Skills and Qualifications:
Key skills required:
Proven experience working in a similar role – 1 to 3 years
Experience in an IT environment
Good interpersonal skills
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences
Self-motivation
Ability to establish good working relationships and demonstrate enthusiasm for continual learning
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The candidate must be able to travel around the UK and Europe, as the work may require client site visits, including short term or longer term work away from London.
Qualification(s) required:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Computer Science – Desired but any degree will be acceptable if coupled with some experience
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Non-negotiable:
Experience in a similar level role, 1-3 years
Degree educated
EITHER someone who has been an IT Auditor already,
OR someone coming from a very good Auditing background and looking to move into IT, in which case they'll need tohave some understanding of the industry at least.
