Heartlands High School is a new mixed comprehensive 11-16 school that opened in September 2010. Popular and oversubscribed within the local community the school will take 1080 students when full with 25 places in a specialist Autism provision. Our recent Ofsted described the school as a "Leaders have been able to cultivate an ethos of focusing on the needs of individual pupils. Pupils irrespective of their starting points, receive a range of support. Many pupils make very good progress.'' (Ofsted 2016)

Heartlands High School is looking to recruit, an enthusiastic Senior ICT Technician, who has the ability to work within a team independently and manage their own time effectively. We are a friendly, happy and enthusiastic team who is committed to provide an excellent IT Service to all users of IT.

The successful candidate is expected:

• To be responsible for the local day to day operation of the Network and ICT resources, providing daily maintenance to the current and future IT infrastructure. This includes daily management of the IT Service Desk (call prioritisation and allocation).
• To manage, organise and implement school ICT development projects and processes as agree with the Head of IT.
• To ensure the availability of a fully operational network, class computers and any other ICT equipment and services, liaising with off-site technical support where necessary.
• To manage, mentor and supervise IT technical staff as necessary. This can include apprentices, IT Technicians and contractors.
