Principal Teachers currently has a vacancy for a part time (0.6) English Teacher to commence a long term post in a secondary school in the Boroughbridge area. The role is available to start ASAP on an ongoing basis. The successful applicant will need to have experience of teaching English Literature and English Language at KS3 and KS4 level and experience of teaching Drama to at least KS3 would be advantageous. You will need to be able to plan and delivery an exciting curriculum to engage all learners with varying needs and abilities. Meticulous assessment skills is essential to drive results forward at KS4 level. Based in an area close to Boroughbridge, the school serves a diverse catchment area and is well resourced. The Head Teacher is seeking a driven and enthusiastic teacher, who will become part of a thriving English Department. You will be encouraged to work collaboratively with your colleagues to share best practice and you must commit yourself to an ethos of lifelong learning. Behaviour across the school is good and you will need to uphold these standards. The successful applicant will be willing to participate in the wider aspects of school life i.e. offering extra curricular opportunities.
