Warehouse Operative

Warehouse Operative required for an Engineering Company, based in Warwick. Offering a salary of £17,000 to £18,500, based on experience.

The Company:

We are a well-established, successful engineering Company based in Warwick. We are the leading distributor and system integrator of drives and transmission equipment into the Engineering industry in the UK, Ireland and Continental Europe.

We are now looking to recruit a Warehouse Operative to join our busy team.

Warehouse Operative Main Duties:

• Accept delivery of incoming goods and supplies.
• Inspect goods and supplies received to ensure they are correct quantity, type and appropriate quality.
• Unload, unpack and stack goods in the correct storage location.
• Pack and label products before they are dispatched.
• Operate the forklift truck as required, ensuring training is kept up to date.
• Ensure the warehouse and workshop area is kept clean, tidy and well organised at all times.
• Deliver to customers by van as required (typically 1 or 2 days a week).

Warehouse Operative Necessary Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• A background/experience in engineering would be desirable.
• Basic IT skills and knowledge is desirable.
• Must have a full Driving Licence and Counterbalance Fork Lift Truck Licence.
• Ability to use own initiative and organise own workload.
• Must be a clear communicator, both verbal and written.
• Must be able to multitask in a busy environment.
• This role includes some heavy lifting and demands a level of physical fitness.
