Management Accountant

SME business based in the Horsham area requires a Management Accountant for their business. Reporting to the Financial Controller this role offers an opportunity to develop a team an existing team.

You would be responsible for over seeing the development of a junior finance team, handling of key financial accounts and maximising performance and cash flow. Other duties will include the day to day processing and management of financial reporting, accounting and VAT returns.

This is a very hands on role as you will be dealing with the general month end duties as well as the more managerial aspects of running a finance team.

The right candidate will have experience of running a finance team, be looking for a rewarding position within a fast changing environment.

Main duties:

• Assisting the FC in providing support, control and insight
• Month End
• Management of 2 x Finance Assistants
• Monthly Sales Forecast and Analysis
• Prepare and process Accruals / Prepayments
• Assist in Year End & External audit
• Ad hoc duties as and when required

Skills Required:

• Previous experience in a similar position
• Management experience
