UK Head of Business Development & Partnership Marketing
The Head of Business Development & Partnership Marketing is responsible for obtaining key database partnerships as well as retaining existing database partners that will enhance the growth of Collette, through the implementation of strategies for partner and marketing development.
The focus is to locate, develop, define, negotiate, and close business relationships on a large scale. This role requires a strong ability to analyze, think strategically, collaborate with marketing team and other key stakeholders at Collette, and to understand the company's goals and objectives.
Also, you will be responsible for increasing marketing partnership income from tourist boards or potential other partners as directed, to grow revenue to the destination, vendor or airline. The goal is to increase the number of partners/tourists boards/airlines working with Collette and to procure marketing income to help offset Collette's marketing budget and thus help drive revenue to key partners and/or destinations.

Business Development Responsibilities:
- Identify and research all potential opportunities & partnerships in order to access partner databases as a 'preferred' partner allowing us to market & sell Collette tour products in exchange for agreed benefits such as comps, commissions and/or member benefits where necessary
- To develop and execute our partnership strategy in collaboration with marketing and business development teams- identifying the major assets and capabilities that Collette brings to any partnership activities and relationships, and developing and implementing a process for evaluating opportunities and ideas in terms of mission/goals fit and organizational capacity. Identify the potential partners' ability to market to their database in collaboration with marketing team.
- Work with the Collette Marketing team to manage ongoing activities, including triaging all opportunities; developing relationships with partners and potential partners; managing the partnerships pipeline; researching opportunities and selecting the most appropriate to be developed; creating and implementing realistic sales plans and timelines; coordinating and managing multiple partnerships simultaneously.
- Work closely with the Marketing and Business Development team to deliver the collateral required to secure the account.
- Evaluate business opportunities and access to potential markets, reviews financial feasibility to analyze the strength of the new opportunity. In conjunction with Business Development and Marketing leaders, screens potential business affinity deals by analyzing market strategies, relationship requirements, revenue potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal pressures; and recommending investments.
- Develop distribution plan showcasing our opportunities / various channels to market which will attract partners to work with Collette and to commit co-op funds and activity. Identify and secure tourism partners to off-set marketing costs and generate coop.
- In conjunction with the marketing department, the Head Business Development and Partnerships is consequently responsible for communicating and promoting the partnership to increase mutual sales.
- This individual will contribute to the collective leadership of Business Development and set a vision for a best-in-class business development organization.
- Potentially assist in education/training of product managers on securing coop and on developing and securing partner dollars from their vendor. (if applicable/when necessary)
- Work with Marketing to provide tools and for the company to secure coop: the #s document, customized letters to show how we promoted relevant tour, marketing campaign lists from pivotal, samples, meeting bid letters, etc.
- Manage and monitor income budgets working with marketing to ensure accuracy of our overall coop income to offset marketing budget.
- Work closely with product team to stay on top of changes in tour product line, especially with any new product launches so as to secure support for a new tour.
- Attend tradeshows and speak on behalf of company as needed. Attend seminars and industry conferences to build relationships, network, and secure new opportunities for Collette.
- Relevant undergraduate degree with preference to a MBA
- Minimum of five years of progressive successful "development experience" in a high growth, partner-driven business
- Experience building successful partner "development" systems and building the business development, marketing and relationship management people, processes and systems to drive and support growth
- Proven expertise in communication, negotiation, and sales. Excellence in presentation skills
- Experience as a key contributor to executive business strategy
- Ability to develop concepts and synthesize information.
