We are currently seeking a strong Accountant (Senior/ Manager) for an exciting new position in Taunton. Based in easy reach of the M5, this is a great opportunity for someone with experience of working with clients from the Agricultural community or an interest in this area to specialise and join a dynamic and friendly practice.
To be considered for the role, you will need to be part of fully ACA/ ACCA qualified (or equivalent) with at least 4 years post qualifying experience. This is busy, varied role where you will join an established team, with a great reputation in the farming community for providing a swift, professional and business focused service. Duties will include providing clients with tax planning, business advice, enterprise accounting and succession advice and also preparing accounts and Tax and VAT returns. You will be working with a variety of IT packages including specialist Farming packages such as Sumit and Farmplan.
Being able to communicate effectively at all levels is important as you will have regular direct client contact and be very much a "face of the firm", helping to look after the firm's large portfolio of farming clients. The company prides itself on setting high professional standards but also providing a relaxed and friendly work environment so they are looking for the successful person to have a good sense of humour as well as great technical skills and be a real team player.
