Credit & Risk Quality Officer

Our client, a specialist mortgage lender who are going through an exciting growth journey, are recruiting a new role to their mortgage team; a Credit & Risk Quality Officer.
The key purpose of this role is to undertake risk based monitoring across the Bank and its group entities comprising daily reviews of the CIFAS and National Hunter databases match referrals generated from mortgage applications. It will then be your role to take appropriate action on each referral, investigating the reasons for referral, and liaising with the underwriting team and third parties in order to ensure that the referral is processed in accordance with Group policies.
You will also undertake other credit and risk based activities as directed by the Group Head of Strategic Credit Risk Relationships.
We are ideally we would be looking for someone who has worked within a fraud team within financial services or someone who has been exposed to the mortgage process. You need to be familiar with the National Hunter database as well as CIFAS checks to be able to investigate any matches on these systems.
