Job Role:

Our client is currently has an exciting opportunity for a developer. The back office development team are responsible for the ongoing development and maintenance of their clients back office systems. You will be become part of their team and be responsible for the implementation of new features and functionality, in addition to working with the business and IT support teams to actively diagnose and fix service affecting issues.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work with other members of the team to help deliver solutions to the business.
• Peer review solutions to ensure that they follow standards and are optimum.
• Adhere to deadlines, prioritise work, and provide progress reports.
• Document code and processes developed.
• Cultivate strong relationships with colleagues, business users, and other technical teams.

Requirements

Essential Skills and Attributes:

• Excellent computer competency
• COBOL
• Relational Database(s)
• SQL within a development role
• Commercial COBOL development experience
• Good numerical skills
• Ability to analyse and problem solve
• Highly organised
