Salary: £21,534 - £22,846 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 37 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer A to join the successful Wood Team in the Faculty of Construction to provide an outstanding learner experience through teaching, training, reviewing and assessing learners, enabling timely achievement.
Successful applicants will have relevant, up to date experience of working within the Construction industry and in particular within a wood specialism.
Some basic maintenance and preparation of technical equipment is involved in the role and the ideal candidate should feel confident when using and inducting students in the use of wood equipment, especially in relation to wood machining.
We are looking for a highly motivated staff member who is up-to-date with industry and equipment related to this trade area. Experience of working with and supporting learners in order to demonstrate tasks confidently is essential. Applicants should hold relevant level 2 / 3 qualifications. And will ideally have a teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one.
A flexible approach and excellent organisational/ interpersonal skills are required. A sound communicator, your administrative skills will be strong along with good problem solving skills. You will be an effective team player but with the ability to work on your own initiative with limited supervision.
