About Eversheds Sutherland: The Eversheds Sutherland Real Estate practice has status and substance. External commentators often refer to us as one of the largest real estate practices and there are very few firms that have such a varied portfolio of the highest quality work. We aim to be first to the market for solutions for our clients and work seamlessly across borders, integrating our specialists as they need them. The team includes leading experts working on virtually every form of major investment and development project in the market today; shaping the law and delivering the projects that matter. We are looking for an Associate to join our highly successful Real Estate team in Manchester. You can expect a diverse, challenging and rewarding workload in a progressive and thriving team. Key responsibilities: The role will give you exposure to high quality work for clients across our team. This will include lettings and asset management for some major institutional real estate investors, as well as supporting the wider client service teams delivering substantial funding projects; development work for property development companies in both the commercial and residential sector; and leasing work for a wide range of national and international corporates with particular focus on the financial services and consumer sectors. There will also be opportunities to work with our international office network for large US corporates. Reporting directly into the Partners in the team, you will enjoy a pivotal role in the team with the opportunity to build and develop new and existing client relationships, as well as running a varied and rewarding caseload. Skills and experience: You will have wide-ranging commercial property experience, particularly in the areas outlined above. Ideally we are looking for a solicitor with 2-3 years' PQE but we are happy to hear from any candidates who can demonstrate the skills and experience required. Key competencies: In order to be successful, the applicant must be able to meet client needs, both from a commercial and technical perspective and build exceptional relationships with internal and external contacts. They will have good communication and influencing skills together with technical skills and knowledge. They will enjoy working as part of a team but be equally able to manage their own matters efficiently and promptly. We are looking for candidates who can show they are client-centred, and can manage quality, risk and finance. The ideal applicant will be adaptable and committed to offering innovative solutions to the issues our clients face. Choose Eversheds Sutherland and you join a business on an exhilarating journey to cement its position as one of the leading international law firms. Combined with the hugely varied national and international opportunities available, your experience here will, inevitably, be stimulating and enriching. You'll be given the opportunity to really use your talents and build a career, not just fill a role. We'll give you development opportunities, clear career paths and regular assessment so you can judge your progress. Eversheds Sutherland endeavours to recruit and fill vacancies directly. However, when we do need to engage with agencies, Eversheds Sutherland operates within a preferred supplier list.
