This role has come about due to organic growth. SIPHON is one of the fastest growing technology companies in EMEA and have recently been acquired to form part of the Nuvias Group.
The Business Development Manager will form part of the newly created Business Development function and be responsible for exceeding financial targets and ensure delivery of excellent customer satisfaction from both existing customers and predominantly to drive new business across all company products and services.
Duties and Responsibilities
New Business
Identify new prospects and manage all new leads through sales process and sales cycle through to closure
Work with finance to ensure any new customer is properly qualified and provided appropriate levels of credit at outset and loaded correctly onto NetSuite through completion of appropriate new customer set up forms
Position entire Company product portfolio to ensure all cross selling opportunities are identified and initial business is gained to drive further business in medium term
Complete Company Profile and Cross Selling Matrix and be able to demonstrate an understanding of what the prospect does and who the key people are
Make outbound daily calls to account list and new prospects and drive quotation flow every month
Drive strong customer relationships and loyalty to Company
Ensure all Company Professional Services are positioned within prospects to drive services revenue - this should include professional/field engineering services and technical support
General Sales Management
Demonstrate progress on a weekly basis on all key opportunities via the Weekly Review Meeting
Attend all Company Sales/Product Training Sessions to ensure ability to demonstrate key USP's in Company portfolio
Ensure personal usage of all Company products and services internally so they can be effectively demonstrated to customers in meetings
Complete any Supplier Sales Certifications on all Products within Company. Ensure all Customers (particularly Polycom) are certified for VoIP and drive them to achieve this
Ensure strong new business focus with outbound calling to new prospects with regular updates into Netsuite. Demonstrate pro-active behaviour in driving new business
Work with finance and then customers to ensure ALL annual maintenance contracts are renewed
Follow up on all quotations outstanding and any new opportunities and to ensure regular monthly "run-rate" business is achieved/exceeded.
Skills / Attributes Required
Ability to work in a pressurised environment, adopting a proactive approach at all times
Strategic thinker who is able to use own initiative
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong MS Office package skills and CRM experience
Ability to interact with people across the organisation, and to build lasting effective professional relationships
Preferred: Channel & IT experience. Experience making high volume calls
