TPR are looking for a Junior Analyst to contrite to the delivery of complex analytics projects, take responsibility for and lead on the delivery of analytical pieces. In addition, to assist in the maintenance and development of the organisation's analytical capability
Responsibilities
You will:
- Contribute to the delivery of complex analytical projects working with Analyst Leads and across multi-disciplinary teams
- Identify areas for research and analysis and take responsibility and lead on delivery of analytical pieces with minimal supervision
- Use programming to manipulate large, complex and unstructured datasets, and produce robust statistical and econometric models
- Conduct peer reviews and quality checking of statistical analysis
- Communicate findings with key stakeholders throughout the business
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports using analytical techniques
- Contribute to the programme management and ongoing professionalism of the team as a hub of expert analysis and ensuring the team and the wider organisation is up to date with latest developments
In order for your application to be considered for the shortlist, then your CV must clearly state your experience and skills in the following areas, which are essential for the job:
- Degree in a quantitative subject or equivalent professional experience
- Experience working in an analytical function, ideally supporting risk or policy functions
- Experience of risk analysis within an ERM risk framework
- Experience of evaluating data sources for suitability, reliability & accuracy
- An understanding of actuarial principles and techniques
- Proven statistical programming and modelling skills, as well as data-management, -analysis, and -visualisation skills, across software packages such as: SAS, SQL and R
- An understanding of the economy, the financial system and relevant inter-linkages
- Strong working knowledge of internal: data sources, modelling suite and model risk framework
- Ability to communicate technical findings and approach in a non-technical but rigorous way
- Application of the UK Code for Official Statistics, and implementation of robust standards and quality assurance procedures in analytics
- Understanding of wider data issues around quality, collection, and infrastructure
