Excellent opportunity for an experienced Stores Person to join a well-established company based in Flintshire!
Company
Since their formation over 25 years ago, the company continues to deliver their key business objective – to provide first class professional engineering services to all customers. The company services include piping, Mechanical, Fabrication, Welding, Design and more.
Due to further expansion and acquisition of new contracts, the company is looking to employ an Engineering Stores Controller / Delivery Driver to join their team in the engineering stores department.
Key responsibilities will include, but not limited to;
- To ensure an efficient service is provided to all customers via a well-managed stock inventory system
- Maintain a safe working environment, understanding HSE requirements in aspect of LOLER, COSHH and general HSE matters
- Conduct weekly/monthly stocktake and report accordingly
- Organise store layout
- Use of computerised stock system to check and monitor stock levels (excel based)
- Raise requisitions to replenish engineering & consumable stock to optimise minimum stock levels
- Maintain an efficient stock control system
- Issue parts to engineers and record stock usage
- Receive goods and receipt accordingly
- Delivery and collections driving
Candidate Requirements
- An engineering background and experience working within the steel industry would be an advantage, however consideration will be given to applicants with good computer knowledge who perhaps have keen interest in engineering, fitting or pipework
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Ability to communicate at all levels
- Attention to detail in order to complete paperwork
- Knowledge of stock control systems (an advantage)
- Good problem-solving skills and a good team player
- An FLT Licence is a prerequisite for this role
The department has a fully computerised stock control and asset management system full training will also be provided
