Domestic Assistant
We have opportunities for Part time (16h/week)Domestic/Kitchen Assistants to join our team at Brook House in Cambridge.
Working in co-operation with the Home Manager, you will carry out your domestic duties throughout the home to a high standard.
Key duties are:
- Ensure the clean and hygienic maintenance of the Home
- Clean all allocated rooms, including furniture, fittings, fabric, carpets and equipment(sanitary and other)
- Ensure strict adherence all health and safety rules (COSHH)
- Follow guidelines for the control of germs and infestations and universal waste control and infection control precautions
- Kitchen Assistants shall assist the cook in the preparation and serving of meals, as requested by the service users
- Work to the identified and agreed schedules, without intruding on service users preferences
- Managing the kitchen supplies, you will also be responsible for checking and maintaining kitchen equipment
- Maintain standards of hygiene
- Comprehensive understanding of Health & Safety issues, particularly in respect of Basic Food Hygiene, COSHH, safe moving and Handling and working within the guidelines relating to cross infection
Required Experience:
Applicants should have experience within a relevant role and be able to demonstrate knowledge of health and safety, or domestic duties in a residential setting.
