Hethersett Academy is one of East Anglia's top performing schools with a strong history in the local community and a bright future ahead. It is rated Outstanding by Ofsted.

We are now looking to recruit a head of mathematics, following the retirement of the current role holder. As head of department, you will develop and lead an exciting curriculum which enables the highest level of pupil progress and attainment. Additionally, you will play a lead role in developing a new maths curriculum across the Inspiration Trust's 14 schools, working closely with the Maths Hub and subject specialist leaders within our Teaching School and beyond.

We are looking for strong middle leaders who seek the opportunity to be part of school transformation and, in doing so, gain advancement to school leadership positions within Hethersett Academy or other schools within the Inspiration Trust family.

We offer opportunities to take leadership of a whole school project alongside your middle leadership role, support with the NPQSM or other agreed leadership training, and associate membership of the senior leadership team as a professional development opportunity.

We regularly review our practices to ensure that teachers can concentrate on teaching and students on learning. This includes a rigorous behaviour policy where every member of the school community takes responsibility for their actions.

We offer high-quality, personalised professional development, in addition to excellent career development opportunities. We have a strong sense of coaching and collaboration which means that your practice is constantly developed, alongside training sessions that are tailored to you.

As a head of department at Hethersett Academy you will be part of the Inspiration Trust, one of the UK's most successful multi-academy trusts, with a family of 14 schools across Norfolk and Suffolk.
