An excellent opportunity has now arisen for an Accounts Controller (Purchase Ledger) to join us at our office in Gloucester.

Within this role, you will be responsible for reconciling suppliers’ accounts and proactively dealing with any matters arising.  You will promote a good working relationship between our suppliers, our branch staff and the rest of the finance department.

You will ensure the timely and accurate input of invoices and credit notes in SunSystems as well as the timely authorisation of purchase ledger invoices in query.

Although you will have responsibility for specific major suppliers, you will be expected to help resolve any outstanding issues across the rest of the ledger and assist other members of the team where necessary to ensure the smooth running of the department.

In order to be successful in this role, you will have previous Accounts experience along with exceptional data inputting skills and the ability to deal with complex situations.

With a good telephone manner, you will also have strong IT skills, in particular the use of Microsoft Excel (sumifs and vlookups).
