Contract: Full time, Permanent
Salary: £23,500 - £27,000
Location: Cambridge
What it's about
We are looking for a Group Administrator to work in the Humanities Group based in the Assessment Division, supporting the work of the Group Manager and Product Managers. The post would suit an experienced Administrator.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative, dynamic team working at our offices in Cambridge to produce top-class assessments.
What you'll be doing
The post holder will provide administrative support to the group including:
• Responding to telephone calls and emails from Examiners and customers;
• Proof-reading a variety of written and on-line materials;
• Making bookings on behalf of the Group (e.g. rooms, car hire, travel arrangements);
• Preparing agendas and taking minutes;
• Preparing word documents and complex spreadsheets;
• Maintaining a central collection of documents for the Group;
• Ensuring efficient administration of any examiner training course
• Documenting new procedures.
What we're looking for
Applicants should have a good general education to A Level or equivalent.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following skills:
• Fluency in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Accurate, clear written and spoken English
• Attention to detail
• Good telephone manner
• Ability to work with minimal supervision as part of a busy team
• Ability to multitask and prioritise
• Good interpersonal skills
• Self-motivation
• Good organisational skills
The following skills would also be desirable:
• Proofreading
• Good numerical/mathematical skills would be an advantage
