We have a variety of housekeeping positions available at our new development, The Chocolate Quarter.

Our teams of Housekeepers always put our residents first. They are responsible for providing a full cleaning service for residents, their families and visitors and other St Monica Trust employees. Elements of the role involve the preparation and delivery of food - such as making up trays etc. As such all our Housekeepers are trained on Health and Safety regulations and have a working knowledge of Food Hygiene legislation. We offer full training for the full range of roles and responsibilities within this role.

Our Housekeepers tell us that the role is very hands-on, practical, and busy and there's never a dull moment. Their team-working ethos is vital to providing a quality service - they have a strong sense of "looking out for each-other" and "pulling together to get things done". The most rewarding part of their role though, is getting to know our residents, who value the Housekeepers in the way they build relationships of "trust and respect" and are always "willing to help".

What we're looking for:

Experience of cleaning is important - the role includes cleaning residents' rooms and communal areas such as offices, dining rooms, hallways, receptions. The role requires the ability to think on your feet and respond quickly - sometimes needing to drop all your well planned tasks to attend to something at short notice. Prioritising and time-management are key as is the ability to strike up conversation. Experience of working with older people and/or people with dementia is desirable but not essential.

What we offer:

We offer a competitive package including a contributory pension scheme, life assurance at 4 x salary, childcare vouchers, 23 days holiday per year plus bank holidays (pro-rata), savings on shopping, opportunity to join our gym (and pool where relevant) and a subsidised restaurant. We also provide an extensive induction programme and training opportunities.

For full details and to apply, please see our website. We have the following positions available:

27.5 hours per week, Monday - Friday 1.00pm - 6.30pm
11 hours per week, 9.00am - 2.30pm Saturday and Sunday
8 hours per week, 6pm - 10pm Saturday and Sunday

St Monica Trust is committed to an inclusive working environment. Appointment is subject to Enhanced DBS Disclosure
