Class 2 HGV Driver - Drainage

We are seeking Class 2 HGV Drivers on behalf of our client.

Reports to: Logistics Manager

Job Function: Deliver a reliable service meeting the business and customers' needs in a timely, professional manner.

Key Responsibilities and Main duties

• To manage all jobs in a timely professional way, escalating any issues to the Office.

• Liaise politely and professionally with customers and the office.

• Jetting drivers to follow customer specific requirements and to inspect jetting equipment as per WJA requirements on daily basis.

• All drivers are responsible for logging correct working hours through the Kudos app

• Complete daily checklist (VC40) and Company Vehicle HSEQ Daily Checklist

• Carry a copy of the relevant Generic Risk Assessment and Method Statement and is familiar with the requirements of these documents.

• Carry our Point of Work Risk assessment prior to start each activity and ensure that a safe system of work is in place.

• Attend toolbox talks when required

• Report all accidents or damage, however minor, to the Company immediately.

• Report near misses, unsafe act and unsafe conditions that he/she witnesses immediately.

• Check with office that load is tipped off in the right place

• Ensure that you have the correct paperwork, equipment and information for the start of your shift

• Drive within the law and site rules and keep within working time/driving regulations for drivers taking the correct rest breaks

• Take care of his/her own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by his/her actions.

• Co-operate with your employer on health and safety. Ensure his/her work carried out follows the company policies, safety rules, procedures and the requirements of the risk assessments & method statements.

• All drivers should wear the supplied personal protection equipment (PPE)

• To carry out any other duties within the scope of the job as required by the business.

• As duties and responsibilities change, the job description will be reviewed and amended in consultation with the post holder.

Hours:

Basic Hours are between 7.00am and 17.00pm.

Overtime and Callouts are available, as welll as some working away, so operators must be flexible.
