Axon Moore are exclusively recruiting a truly unique opportunity for an ambitious, driven trainee accountant wanting to be involved in a start-up of a Service Centre function, comforted by the backing of a leading Global privately owned business. Based in Warrington, this is a key role and you will join the business right in its infancy, being one of the first within the finance team. The business is currently c.GBP100m turnover and has ambitious plans to further acquire many more businesses. As Management Accountant, you will report into the Head of Financial Reporting and be involved in the set up and transition of the accounting for the subsidiaries and holding company into the Service Centre. Assisting the Head of Financial Reporting, your role will include;
- Monthly management accounts
- Weekly trading updates
- Group reporting
- Statutory accounts
- VAT returns
- Corporation tax
- Treasury
- Liaison with auditors and tax advisors
This role is ideal for a recent Accounting & Finance Graduate (2:1 or above) or a CIMA/ACCA studier, at the early-mid stages of their studies. Hungry and driven, you should thrive on a challenge and be hardworking and exciting by the prospect of such an unique and exciting opportunity. You will assist in setting up procedures for the first time initially, and as the company continues to acquire new businesses, therefore, good attention to detail is paramount. An impressive academic record is required including, an Accounting & Finance degree, 2:1 or above (or related) and at least one Grade A at A-level, and the flexibility to be willing to undertake some UK travel during integration stages.
