Development Engineer, Global leading software business, Enterprise level projects, package up to GBP110k, ASAP Development Engineer (Python/Node.js) Guildford, Surrey GBP50000 - GBP75000 + 30k Package Your new company This leading global technology business is seeking a hands-on Development Engineer to help tackle potential incoming intrusions through the creation of robust tools/solutions. It's a business truly at the top of their game and you'll be working from their UK head office location on the South Coast, 5 minutes from the train station and on direct commuting lines to London (35 minutes). Your new role This is a mission critical role delivering software engineering functionality to the security team, both current threat and future proofing. There will be interaction and communication with a number of digital, security and business units and your role will be viewed as key to their roadmaps. You'd be joining a local team of around 10-12 linking into a global tech team of over 100. There's huge progression opportunities and the successful person will thrive on working in a fast paced, high pressure environment delivering to set deadlines. This is a hugely exciting opportunity as you'll be reacting to real-world, real-time events and you will be required to think strategically and tactically which will enable to company to maintain its position at the forefront of software delivery. What you'll need to succeed We're seeking a degree educated software professional with a background developing enterprise level/large scale projects in a Linux environment. You will possess high level development and scripting skills with Python and JavaScript with experience of SQL/NoSQL or other relational databases. Commercial or self-taught experience with Node.js will make you a standout candidate for the role. Though a development role, knowledge of sysadmin, network architecture or security protocols are highly desirable for the position, as is experience with C/C++.
