Your new organisation
Hays are recruiting for a leading UK wide adoption agency specialising in intercountry adoption. Having received another Outstanding Ofsted report this year, this agency is at the forefront of adoption practice and are continuously expanding their services. As a result, they are looking to take on additional independent adoption assessors based in Bath, Bristol, Oxfordshire, Surrey, and West London.

Your new role
You will receive assignments for both domestic and intercountry adoption, involving assessing applicants applying to adopt children from overseas countries. You will be completing Perspective Adopters Reports (PAR) and working to deadlines, whilst being flexible in meeting the needs of the applicants and the agency. You should be willing to travel for assignments, with a particular ability to meet with applicants in either one of the areas of Bath, Bristol, Oxfordshire, Surrey, or West London.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in this role, you must be HCPC registered and have:

• Extensive and recent experience in adoption social work
• Substantial experience completing PAR assessments
• A high standard of report writing
• Willingness to travel across London
• Self-Motivation and ability to work to deadlines

What you'll get in return
This role will be paid per assessment. The remuneration is as follows:
GBP2,460 per assessment (Stage 1 review & Stage 2)
GBP2,300 (Stage 2 only)
Travel expenses paid at 45p per mile; travel time paid for car journeys over 50 miles

Introductory training on intercountry adoption work and ongoing advice and support will be provided.
