Centre 404 is a friendly local charity with an excellent reputation for providing high quality support and services to people with learning disabilities and their families in North London.

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated person to take on a Deputy Manager position within a supported living scheme in Islington for 19 adults with learning disabilities.

We are looking for someone who is committed to delivering excellent quality, has a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and develop new skills and has the ability to provide leadership and motivation to bring out the best in our team. The right person will be very well organised and have solid experience of supporting lively and determined people with high support and complex health needs. Excellent communication and team working skills are essential for the post as is the ability to use IT and admin systems to record and monitor information.

Working within a management team and alongside a team of support workers, you will provide excellent person centred care to enable tenants to live independently in their own home, take part in a range of meaningful and fun group activities, to develop friendships, to involve family and advocates where possible, to access services, and be supported in all areas of day-to-day living.

With the support of the Project Manager, you will contribute to the development of the team, along with the implementation of care plans designed to provide meaningful choice and support to people with learning disabilities. You will also be responsible for encouraging a culture based on respect and dignity for those in need of care and support, providing supervision and clear management to a team of support workers.

Due to the size of the project, candidates will need to demonstrate previous management experience at a Deputy Manager level or above, which will include experience of leading a team, organising group activities for vulnerable people, rota planning and staff supervision.

We offer regular supervision and provide a detailed induction and relevant training and support.

Centre 404 is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of adults at risk and we are looking to recruit people who share these values. All offers of employment are subject to an enhanced DBS check, proof of eligibility to work in the UK and two satisfactory references.
