Therapeutic child care worker

We are looking to a recruit passionate Child Care Worker in Hove, East Sussex. An opportunity has arisen to work for a reputable care provider. If you have experience in Health and Social Care working with children, youths and young people then we want to hear from you!

The company you will be working for supports children and young people in a residential setting who have emotional and behavioural difficulties. They provide a positive environment for looked after children in care. This is an opportunity to work for a forward thinking organisation, who promote a Therapeutic approach to the support they provide.

This rewarding job will involve working directly with the young people to meet their everyday complex, needs.You will be a positive role model by supporting them in understating and managing their emotions and behaviours. You will actively engage in all aspects of the care and education of the children. You will assist in supporting each child to gain a positive experience of being looked after and educated.

To be considered for this job we are looking for someone who has experience of working in Health and Social Care preferably with children. You will also have experience of dealing with challenging behaviour. You will need to be resilliant for this role with a flexible approach. If you are passionate and positive about supporting young people in care this is the role for you!

This is a full time position and you will be required to work shifts and weekends. In return for your hard work and dedication you can expect a competitive salary of £17378 -£18182 per annum plus an additional £30.50 per sleep in shift! This job also comes with the opportunity to gain a qualification in Therapeutic Care along with ingoing training and support.
