Our client is an innovative, modern arms-length housing organisation (ALMO), created in October 2005 employing approximately 540 staff and managing 11,500 properties across the borough of Stockport.
They are recognised as a Sunday Times Top 100 ‘Best Places to work in the Public Sector’ employer, have been awarded Investors in People (Gold) status, and this year been named the UK’s Top Landlord after winning the 24Housing magazine vote.
They are a values driven organisation committed to achieving their mission of ‘Transforming Lives’, but they’re also entrepreneurial, maximising the value of their money and resources.
Keen to continue their impressive growth, they have created a brand-new role within the organisation for a Corporate Projects Officer within the new Change Team which will contribute to the delivery of the Group IT Strategy through the delivery of effective change and project management. The organisation has an exciting programme of projects and the Projects Officer will lead projects within this programme as well as support others in the business to deliver theirs. This post will be right at the heart of all this exciting change and have an opportunity to make a real difference for staff and customers.
Working with the business owners to shape the Project Case / justification and liaising with suppliers and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects at the right cost, time and quality, you will also support how change is delivered by providing coaching and support on the project management framework.
Key within this role is the establishment and engagement of an effective ‘One Team’ approach within projects by providing an effective link between business leads, IT, technical staff and Business Analysts - ensuring effective communication throughout the project. This will be a fast paced and challenging role, which will require a confident and engaging individual who is able to quickly build rapport with stakeholders and garner support as they move towards an agile approach to business change and project management.
With a Project management qualification (e.g. Prince2 Practitioner, APM (PMQ) or equivalent) and sound experience and understanding of project management approaches and application of this knowledge. Candidates must also have the confidence to challenge key stakeholders appropriately and, therefore, should demonstrate exceptional influencing skills and strong credibility.
Whilst an awareness of IT within social housing would be desirable, we are also really keen to hear from individuals with the ability to coach and support stakeholders that can help to ensure successful outcomes in projects.
Closing Date: Wednesday 4th October 2017
Assessment Date: Tuesday 17th October 2017
Final interviews: Friday 20th October 2017
