Data Analyst

Data Analyst - Role Overview

You will be responsible for mining data, collating and generating various reports that address the needs of internal and external stakeholders. Being at the heart of the day-to-day operations, this unit is closely involved in real time diagnostics and effecting remedial actions. The successful candidate will be able to pitch his/her conclusions, backed up by detailed and reasoned analysis, for strategic and management decisions.

The candidate will be numerically fluent with a meticulous attention to details and a proven track record of solving problems. The candidate has excellent communication skills and is able to articulate key facts and numbers, while establishing creative means to improve the quality of the reporting.

While you are responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day performance reports are produced, you are also able to drill-down to the details to diagnose specific problems. Good report writing skills are essential, as you are required to produce periodic reports of the analysis.

Key Skills & Experience required of our Data Analyst

- A degree in a numerate discipline.

- Excellent communication skills in English - spoken and written

- Demonstrate good track record of solving problems.

- Proven skills in data analysis and strong analytical acumen.

- Can demonstrate ability to learn quickly and utilize various analytical tools.

- Proficient in the use of Excel and good working knowledge of statistical and reporting tools.

- Commercial acumen.

- Can demonstrate a high degree of discretion and confidentiality.

Data Analyst Desired Skills - not necessary but an advantage....

- Technical understanding (A good understanding of HTML/XML).

- Travel industry support experience
