Salary: Up to £41,410 depending on experience
Hours: 37 hours per week
An exciting opportunity has arisen to manage the Business and Creative curriculum within City College Southampton.
The curriculum responsibility consists of Business, AAT, Travel and Tourism, Media, IT and Games Design. We have outstanding facilities and great links with local employers and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will ideally have a background in the Business or Creative sector; have experience of teaching or managing both Further and Higher Education provision, be a champion for excellent teaching and learning within the department, committed to securing good or outstanding outcomes for students and developing the strong relationships with key stakeholders.
Working from our St Mary site, your role will focus primarily on leading a team of dedicated staff to ensure students achieve their qualification and develop an innovative curriculum to support progression to employment and/or higher education. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the day to day running of the teams and engaging with local employers and other stakeholders.
While this post is suitable for someone considering their first college management post, applicants must already have demonstrated and be able to evidence leadership potential in their current post. Candidates with experience of leading a team will be required to evidence a successful track record in achieving positive outcomes for students through a team.
You will be able to work as part of the team or individually and have good interpersonal skills.
The salary offered is up to £41,410 plus pension, 39 days annual leave and statutory bank holidays. The salary is dependent on experience and negotiable for the right candidate.
