Toolsetter - Contract - Luton - 13 per hour + Shift Premium

Key Duties and Responsibilities

To conduct the desired mould tool change as indicated by the production monitoring system and/or instructions received from supervision.
Monitor and respond to changes in component quality by conducting quality checks as displayed on the route card and to the frequency designated by the departmental work instruction.
To ensure continued product quality by changing machine conditions where appropriate to meet desired dimensions and criteria as shown on the route card and/or permit to produce and/or component drawing, and/or temporary concession.
Maintain legible records for component quality in accordance with the departmental work instruction.
Contribute to training of new staff and apprentices within the injection moulding function.
Perform periodic injection moulding machine safety checks in accordance with the British Plastics Federation Code of Practice and the departmental work instruction.
Ensure that all manufacturing equipment is maintained in good working order, reporting any problems to supervision and plant and carrying out daily TPM checks on the injection moulding machines.
To ensure good usage of the production monitoring system in accordance with instructions to assist with machine utilisation, cycle time and machine downtime analysis.
Ensure that high standards of housekeeping are maintained within the manufacturing area and assist this by ensuring that at the termination of every mould change, unwanted equipment and ancillaries are returned to their designated places of storage.
In the absence of shift technician or team leader to assume responsibility for the injection moulding area.
To actively promote good communications between the shifts to support productive output.

To undertake all work related training courses as identified to support business requirements
Language requirement - Good written and spoken English

It is critical that the applicants have moulding knowledge and preferred Demag machine knowledge.

This position needs two URGENT employees to start immediately.
