Thornaby Academy is part of the newly formed Teesside Learning Trust, a Multi Academy Trust which was established on 1st September 2016. Teesside Learning Trust is comprised of two Primary Academies in Redcar and Cleveland, and two Secondary Academies, Thornaby Academy in Stockton and Freebrough Academy in Redcar and Cleveland.

Teaching Assistant – ‘SEMH’ specialism (ref TH1702)

Salary: Scale point 16-18 £17,419 - £18,070 per annum (£13,277-£13,774 pro rata)

Start date: 30th October 2017 or sooner

Contract type: 32.5 hours per week, Term Time plus 5 days (PD days)

Shift pattern: Monday to Thursday 8.30am-3.30pm and Friday 8.30am-3.15pm

The staff at the Academy work closely as a team to support and guide our young people as they experience a diverse and challenging curriculum which will provide them with every opportunity to achieve their personal best.

The Academy has an immediate opening for a Teaching Assistant who has previously worked with students who have Autism, Physical Disabilities or other Complex learning needs. The successful candidate will join a team who are committed to improving the education of students who need additional support with their social, emotional and/or mental health.
