6 Month Fixed Term Maternity Cover commencing January 2018 (with a possible extension to 12 Months)

Joining them as Nursery Practitioner at Elmwood Nursery, their on-site nursery for children aged 3 months to 5 years, you will provide high quality day care services and assist in the implementation of the Early Years Foundation stage curriculum.

Working as a member of the nursery’s team, you will promote a stimulating environment of play and encourage and support the social, emotional, cognitive and physical development of the child. Establishing a good relationship with parents, acknowledging them as the primary carers, you will be aware and work within all nursery policies and procedures whilst maintaining objective, accurate and up-to-date records that identify the children’s individual needs, abilities and progress, using these factors for future planning.

So, if you have exceptional communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, then they would love to hear from you! All that they ask is that you hold NNEB or NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education and that you have experience of caring for children from 3 months to 5 years of age in a group setting. With knowledge of the Early Years Foundation stage, you will have respect for the needs of individuals including a multi-cultural awareness and have the ability to observe children, keeping accurate records and writing reports on children’s development.
