We need you!

We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Support Worker to join a fantastic day service / activity centre in Weston-Super-Mare.

Your role will be to lead and manage a small team of Support Workers, providing support to enable autistic adults develop new skills and access new opportunities.

You will be responsible for creating lesson plans and facilitating workshops; engaging individuals in a range of activities, from IT skills to carpentry; from up cycling to employment advice. You will also help people to better understand their autism, and build social and communication skills.

Ideally you will have skills and experience in teaching and/or facilitation, and have lots of ideas and enthusiasm for developing new activities. Perhaps you have a unique talent or skill yourself that you could share with others?!

Most importantly you should be enthusiastic and passionate about helping people to learn, able to think outside the box, and able to work with a cross-section of the community.

A full UK driving license is essential, and you should have some experience of leading or supervising a team. An NVQ Level 3 would be highly desirable, however you will be given the opportunity to gain formal qualifications within the role.

Salary for this role is £16,000 - £17,895, working 37 hours per week. Shifts will be mainly day based, (9am-5pm) with some evening and weekend working involved. Benefits include:
