Business Analyst

Leading Financial Technology Company looking for a dynamic, skilful and enthusiastic Business Analyst to join our Development team. Someone who is committed to delivering cutting edge high quality projects and who has experience working within an agile software development environment.

The ideal candidate will own and assist the business owners and clients in driving development tasks that you and they are involved in. They will participate and support the agile development SCRUM team. The BA will draft detailed requirements to enable a remote development team develop the business needs and the QA team test efficiently. 
This position is based in central London.

The Role:

• Liaising with internal and external teams, face to face and remotely to gather detailed business requirements
• Developing detailed business requirements documents for an ever-evolving, next generation middleware system
• Liaising with Business / Product Owners, and clients to sign off expectations
• Liaising with development teams to ensure full understanding of all requirements 
• The successful candidate will own the requirements documentation, and be expected to continually refine the requirements gathering process to make it as efficient as possible
• Support the development team in clarifying any requirements through mediation and analysis with the business owners
• Contributing to all the QA process and work alongside a QA Manager and Test analysists to clear up any ambiguity at the QA phase.
• Provide clear updates and be comfortable reporting into stakeholders and management.  
• Raise concerns where necessary to the business owner and the development teams.

Qualifications / Experience:

• A relevant Third level degree in IT 
• Proven professional experience as a Business Analyst in the Fintech or Payments Space
• Experience with being a bridge between business and IT
• A Team player with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), and the ability to get your ideas across effectively.
• Experience with Jira would be beneficial.
• Experience working within the whole software development lifecycle.  
• Willingness to learn and be challenged in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working within PCI-DSS requirements would be beneficial.
