Are you looking for a support worker job based in Huddersfield? We are currently recruiting for support workers to work at one of my clients residential services who support adults with learning disabilities.
The Organisation:
A reputable charity who offer residential support to adults with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, complex needs and mental health. Supporting over 2000 people, working in over 300 locations and have over 3500 staff members.
The Role:
This job is to work as a support worker with (currently) 2 male service users with learning disabilities based in Huddersfield. The ideal candidate will ensure the happiness and comfort of these individuals which can be managed in a variety of ways. This could be anything from helping them within their own living space to assisting them in accessing the community. You will celebrate birthdays, be creative, be playful and overall provide the best possible care you can.
The Ideal Candidate:
You will have some social care experience or qualification to be considered for this role. We are looking for candidates with a real passion for care and helping others. For this job it is essential you are fully flexible and you can commit to working a variety of shifts including some weekend work and sleeps.
You must be a driver - this is essential to the role.
Salary and Benefits:
The pay rate for this full time role is starting at £7.50 per hour. Sleeps are currently paid at £29.95. Support workers are supported with full induction training, monthly 1-1s and ongoing personal development. Offering a free DBS, unlimited tea and coffee whilst on shift and you are able to wear your own clothes for comfort! You will be joining a friendly and cheerful team who strive for the best for the service users.
