UX Designer and Front End Developer
At Irwin Mitchell LLP we are currently recruiting for an exciting role working within the innovative Group Sales and Marketing Department based in Sheffield. As a qualified Designer/Developer, you will work alongside Account Managers, Copywriters and Developers to produce high-quality front end development and design that upholds the Irwin Mitchell Brand.

The Department
Our Group Sales and Marketing department plays a fundamental role in the development of the Group and its subsidiaries. The team creates nationally recognised campaigns and is recognised as leading the way in legal sector marketing in social media, PR and marketing.
The collaborative and tenacious attitude of the team has seen it win numerous prestigious awards such as the Social Buzz Award for 2016. You will be joining an award-winning communications team which picked up its latest award as recently as November 2016
The Role
In your role as UX Designer and Front End Developer, you will use your creativity, experience and passion for design to implement creative web design, user experience design and efficient front end code in order to produce an engaging web presence for Irwin Mitchell.
The successful candidate will be able to deliver appealing and novel web design solutions from concepts through to the final finished piece. Within the role, you will be expected to draw upon your experience to contribute to offer alternatives and solutions as well as listening to feedback, challenging it and acting upon it. You will work pro-actively to identify problems and find prompt resolutions.
In order to uphold the brand successfully, the candidate must demonstrate their awareness of the user experience. Consistently in your role, you must champion the user throughout and work to deliver an exceptional customer experience through the use of scamps and wireframes. Working alongside other colleagues, you will ensure you work with meticulous attention to detail to ensure solutions are delivered in a timely manner, ensuring that finished creative is translated seamlessly into quality code.
To support the business objectives, you will be able to demonstrate your ability to work well under pressure, managing both your time and resources effectively. Building upon at least two years' worth of agency or in-house experience, you will be proficient in HTML HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Sass (SCSS) as well as experience in jQuery and JavaScript. Furthermore, proficiency in relevant Adobe Creative Cloud applications will aid you in your role, as well experience using Sketch.
It would be beneficial, however not essential, that you have experience with a .Net environment, Susy or similar framework, Git and Tortoise SVN, Grunt and be macOS and Windows literate.
