Contracts Manager (Painting & Coatings Division)

R Lewis & Co (UK) Ltd is an independent 3rd party accredited company with many years of experience in the specialist coatings and passive fire protection industries.

We continue to invest in skills and knowledge to improve the overall performance of our UK wide services.

We are currently seeking a Contracts Manager with a minimum of a NACE Level 1 qualification to join our growing team.

The role

Salary will be dependant on experience, knowledge and qualifications.  It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be paid £26k - £30k plus benefits.

The role involves directly supervising quality and safety of work completed on site so that the work is completed safely and to a high standard.

Standards of health and safety must be high and you will ensure that our operatives perform their work safely at all times.  You will provide simple on the job safety training and direction.

Your knowledge on quality within the coatings industry must be good, understanding good practice and the technical aspects so that snags and defects can be easily identified.

Your inspections will take place on site.   Audit and inspections are to be backed up by detailed and accurate record keeping with copies kept in the relevant contract files.

Most of our work is within the South Wales area, but the candidate will be expected to travel when needed, which may include overnight stays when required.

Qualifications

Painting and coatings qualifications, such as City and Guilds, ICORR and NACE.

Health and Safety qualifications are highly desirable.

• Painting or Coatings industry experience
• Experience in managing and programming trade teams

• Snagging and fault finding

• Estimating and pricing work
• Problem solving
• Excellent communicator
