Vista Changes lives.  We are a leading local charity working with children and adults with sight loss throughout Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.  Whether someone is newly diagnosed or has lived their whole life with reduced sight, Vista's specialist staff provide a vital lifeline to local people.

Our dedicated, highly trained team are committed to providing the highest standards of care in a safe, comfortable, “home from home” environment.  We are passionate about the care we provide and committed to improving the lives of our residents with sight loss or dementia and their families.

We have a number of Care Assistant posts with varying hours, from 16 to 37 per week, available at our Kathleen Rutland Home, situated in Leicester Forest East, Leicester, which provides high quality care to older people with sensory impairment and people with dementia.

For all our Day Care posts, you will be required to work flexibly between 7am - 9.30pm which includes a requirement to work at weekends and Bank holidays on a rota, and the ability to cover for sickness and holidays as required. 

When rostered to work weekends and bank holidays you will be paid, at an enhanced hourly rate.

The main aim of Vista's Residential Homes is to provide a Person Centered Service to each individual in a homely, caring and supportive environment, whilst promoting and maintaining a high level quality to service to each person 

You will be responsible for providing a high quality of emotional, physical and social support to people who live in the Home, respecting and upholding the rights and wishes of each individual, according to individual support plans. This will include your ability to demonstrate compassion, adaptability and integrity.

Previous experience of working with people in a residential or health setting is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
