Build your accounting career with an organisation that helps people build great futures.

Teign Housing is a successful social landlord employing over 90 ambitious, committed people, responsible for managing more than 3,600 homes across South Devon. Effective financial control is essential to our continued success, and you will have a vital part to play in maintaining accurate accounting records.

Liaising closely with colleagues, tenants and statutory and voluntary agencies, you will enjoy plenty of variety as you assist in processing our weekly and monthly payroll, sales and purchase ledgers and cash book. You will perform bank reconciliations, post invoices, post receipts, deal with expense claims, perform effective credit control and administer direct debits, placing you at the heart of everything we do.

Previous experience of these financial transactions is essential, gained within a busy and fast-moving accounts department. If you are familiar with social landlords and their operations, so much the better, but it's your meticulous attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines and excellent interpersonal skills that will matter most. Above all, you will be keen to take on responsibility and manage your own workload - and ready to benefit from significant investment in your training and development.

Joining us on a part-time basis, you will work 16 hours per week - 5.5 hours Monday and Tuesday, and 5 hours on Friday.

In return, we offer an excellent benefits package with a contributory pension scheme, 25 days leave per year plus bank holidays (pro rata for part-time), private health insurance, free parking and a modern working environment.

Apply via the online application form on our website.
