Mixed / Personal Tax Assistant Based in Aberdeen Competitive Salary + Excellent Benefits One of the UKs leading independent professional services companies is currently recruiting for an intelligent and ambitious Tax Assistant at their Aberdeen office. Your role will entail the management of a portfolio of mixed and personal tax assignments, ensuring that clients consistently receive a timely and high quality service. As part of a highly regarded Tax team in Aberdeen, you will act as a daily point of contact for clients, ensuring that each assignment is taken on in line with preagreed guidelines. Responsibilities will include the preparation of tax returns, ensuring clients tax affairs comply with statutory requirements, identifying and advising on tax planning opportunities, attending client meetings, plus supervising the work of junior members of the team. The ideal candidate for the role must experience managing a portfolio of clients within a high volume personal or mixed tax environment, ideally currently working towards ATT, CTA or CA qualification. Strong client handling skills will be required as will a proven track record undertaking tax computations and using your technical skills to deal with complex and challenging assignments. You will be commercially aware and a team player who possesses excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as outstanding time management, presentation and organisational skills. Youll also be highly articulate, presentable and professional and will have the ability to forge strong professional relations with ease. With almost 3500 partners and staff across 35 offices generating a fee income of over GBP300 million, you would be joining one of the 3 principal midmarket accountancy firms at a particularly exciting time.
