Future Industrial Services is one of the largest providers of liquid waste removal; industrial services such as tank and interceptor cleaning; labour provision to industry; hazardous waste removal; oil/water separation and specialist metal recovery. We are a national company with a Head Office depot in Liverpool and depots from Plymouth to Berwick-Upon-Tweed.

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitter to join our team based in our Oil/Water Treatment Plant and Hazardous Waste Transfer Station in Kirkby, Liverpool. You will be responsible for carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance of various types of plant, ensuring downtime of plant is kept to a minimum. As a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter you may be called out to plant breakdowns and you will also be expected to carry out small weld repairs. As a Mechanical Maintenance Fitter you must be able to operate safely and will be required to assist in production of risk assessments for the work carried out and ensure you operate under a permit to work.

About You

To apply for the role of Mechanical Maintenance Fitter you must have experience of maintenance and repair of a variety of plant equipment with appropriate qualifications. You should also have experience of small welds and hold a suitable qualification. Due to the hazards of working in such environments we have a strict safety policy and you must have experience of working under strict permit to work systems and be the sort of person who will contribute to our safety culture. Experience of writing risk assessments would be an advantage.
