Salary: CH Scale 6 (£22,673 - £26,573)

6 Months Fixed Term Contract, Part time – 35 hours per week

Housingrecruit.com is advertising for a Housing Options Officer on behalf of our client, a leading social housing provider based in Didsbury.

Working in the Housing Options Team you will strive to achieve top quartile performance providing an excellent allocations service to customers and Neighbourhood Teams.  The Housing Options service provides choice and mobility to customers and offers settled homes to those who have experienced homelessness.  You will effectively line manage a team of Housing Options Assistants and will be responsible for ensuring properties are let to the right applicant within target timescales.  You will be responsible for managing and monitoring performance and providing strategic direction to continuously improve services. 

The Housing Options Officer will be someone who will provide a pro-active customer driven housing options service.  You will have experience of working with customers to develop and improve services.  Experience of working in partnership with support agencies, local authority and community groups is also required.

It is essential that the post holder will have a good understanding of key housing legislation, best practice, health and safety, along with current housing knowledge.  You must have good organisational skills, the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and partner organisations.

The post holder must have the ability to drive and have access to a motor vehicle.  The ability to use IT systems is essential, along with having a professional approach and you may be expected to work outside routine office hours if required.
