Salary package: circa £45,116 p/a, plus benefits
Our client is a values-led business and one of the UK’s most progressive developers and housing groups with 14,000 properties across the south-east of England and a large property development portfolio.
The goal is quite simple; providing more homes for people who need them, by running an efficient and successful enterprise.
The Procurement Team is being strengthened to drive a greater commercial focus across the organisation and as such this is an exciting time to join Paradigm and the Procurement Team where you will be offered a varied, challenging and rewarding role.
As part of the change programme, they are looking to recruit a Category Manager – Property & Construction to further develop and lead a programme of key procurements in order to support the Group in meetings its savings targets but also to ensure they take a more strategic, holistic approach to the spend and are better positioned to drive sustainable, year on year benefits from it.

As a Category Manager, you will be the Group’s procurement specialist for the this category working in collaboration with Property Services, initially, to deliver our ambitious savings targets, reduce risk and drive a step change in the way procurement is undertaken within the business. As such, the successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate a confident and well-developed communication style, both written and spoken, that establishes credibility and influences change. Similarly you will be comfortable advising and challenging senior managers where appropriate.

While your initial focus will be working with Property Services, you will be expected to build a relationship with our Development Team to add value to their existing processes and procedures.

Our client believe that hard work should be rewarded suitably; they offer an attractive range of benefits and encourage everyone to grow with them. They welcome applicants from all sections of the communities they work in.
Shortlisting will be conducted in line with the essential and desirable criteria set out in the person specification.
