Location: New Forest Young People's Services
Salary: £16,500 per annum pro rata
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time & Part Time

This role would suit a motivated and innovative individual who would like to join an excellent team working with local young people in supported accommodation across the New Forest. Your main aim will be helping young people in our services to avoid eviction and repeat homelessness. You will also develop the capacity of young people to be able to move on to either less intensive housing related support services or more permanent, independent, accommodation at the earliest appropriate opportunity.
The service has been developed with young people and working patterns have been developed to ensure cover during the working day as well as evenings and weekends, therefore you will work a shift pattern to ensure cover including weekends and sleep-ins.

The ideal Young Persons Worker must:
* have an understanding of the issues facing young people
* be able to build supportive relationships with young people
* be able to deliver one to one and group work sessions
* be a skilled advocate
* be able to support young people to achieve independent living skills
* be able to work flexibly to meet the needs of young people and the service and be able to work day and night shifts on a rota basis
* be able to travel across the area to support young people to appointments
