Servest are recruiting for a HR Advisor based at our Head office location in Bury St Edmunds. You will be part of the in house team, supporting a sector of the business with first line support via phone and email, including site visits and training sessions.

Job Overview:
As a HR Advisor you will play a key role in providing advice to our managers and employees based across the UK on a wide range of employee relations issues. You will be aligned to a set areas of the business with a high volume of case work including disciplinary, grievance, change management, absence management, consultation, family friendly rights and additional processes. You should be able to demonstrate a commercial approach to advice, taking into account the demands of the business and build strong relationships with the operational teams. As part of this you will identify trends and areas where managers would benefit from coaching or training and attend sites to provide this on an ad-hoc basis. You will also project manage both incoming and outgoing TUPE process and assist with Employment Tribunal cases in terms of responses and preparation. The role also involves running training sessions to guide our managers, HR workshops and company inductions and ad-hoc support.

Our successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in providing HR advice and working with line managers, balancing both a commercial viewpoint and best practice
  • Background in ER Casework
  • Previous experience in TUPE and Redundancy consultation
  • Strong employment law knowledge
  • Fully CIPD Level 7 qualified or part qualifies to CIPD Level 5 or equivalent experience
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong personal integrity and a professional approach
  • High levels of attention to detail
  • Be able to work within a team supporting a range of sectors when required

The Benefits:
Servest are paying a competitive salary depending on experience.
Hours of work are Monday to Friday- between 8am and 6pm (different shifts) – 8.5 hours per day with 1 hour for lunch, potential study opportunities.
