Person Specification - Primary Teaching Assistant
The ideal candidate for this role will be an enthusiastic Mathematics Graduate who has achieved a 2:1 or higher in their maths degree. Any previous experience of mentoring/working with children would be advantageous, in any environment, not necessarily school based. You must be able to start as soon as possible. This role is well suited to someone who would like to pursue teacher training in the near future.
About the role
This role will involve you joining a supportive and multicultural Primary School as a teaching assistant. Your specific responsibilities will involve assisting with the schools numeracy strategy and ensuring all pupils are making and exceeding expected progress. You may be required to work 1:1 to deliver booster and intervention strategies with pupils and liaise with their class teacher/parents.
