A market leader in the provision of Customer Care and Billing systems for the UK energy market is in a very exciting phase, with new product offerings; entering new markets; an expanding customer base and trendy new offices in central London.
As a result of this they are on a journey to transform their software Product Development organisation and need a Test Automation Engineer to join the team.
As a Test Automation Engineer, you will effectively set-up and manage all test automation activities, and you will have the opportunity to help shaping the evolution of test automation of our products. You will ensure the quality of your team's deliverables by performing the testing function within and across the team, advising all team members on best testing practices.
The role will provide the Tester's viewpoint to everything your team does, from sprint planning to backlog grooming as well as:
- You will be actively involved in both manual and automated testing practices.
- Convert manual functional and regression scripts to keyword data-driven automated scripts.
Skills/Requirement:
- Experience in working in a Java Software Development environment would be very helpful
- Implement and develop automated test practices for desktop applications
- Experience in using Selenium or a similar open source tools such as Selenium, JMeter, or Cucumber.
- Develop SQL scripts
- Provided automation training to manual testers
- Design and create test scripts to address areas such as database impacts, software scenarios, regression testing, negative testing, error or bug retests, or usability in preparation for implementation.
- Mentor and coach your team on testing concepts such as boundary conditions, exploratory testing, or testing of non-functional requirements.
Skills/Requirement:
- Experience in working in a Java Software Development environment would be very helpful
- Implement and develop automated test practices for desktop applications
- Experience in using Selenium or a similar open source tools such as Selenium
- Experience in fostering a high-performance culture and building a team from scratch into one that excels
- A relentless drive for continuous improvement in processes
- Exceptional communication skills
