The role will primarily be based in the consultancy's head office operating within the FCA compliant environment. The consultancy specialises in assisting clients in complying with Financial Conduct Authority regulation. The Head of Operations will be responsible for leading, managing and motivating the consultancy's central project team ensuring the delivery of client specific projects, daily activities and routine operations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Resource management of head office consultants on a day-to-day basis to meet the needs of internal and external clients.
* Ensuring projects are completed and are successfully compliant with FCA regulations.
* Deliver improvements in systems, processes and internal documentation.
* Overseeing client application projects and consequently coordinating staff resources, including reports and technical resources.
* Managing the integral regulatory update process and resource.
* Overseeing the development of e-learning materials.
* The continuous development of internal processes for the successful execution of processes.
Experience and Skill-Set Required:
* Detailed knowledge of UK FCA regulatory requirements as well as relevant EU directives.
* Detailed knowledge of the FCA Handbook, particular in regards to the Consumer Credit Act '74, retail & wholesale firms.
* Proven track-record of leading and managing teams and personnel.
* Experience of producing regulatory documentation and reports.
* Previous experience reporting directly to the main board and other senior stakeholders.
* Previous experience working in a controlled function registered with the FCA.
* Recognised Qualifications as a regulatory specialist or advisor
