Machine Shop Setters

My client has been operating a successful engineering business for 47 years in the UK. They provide quality services and products to their customers through their strong, professional distribution network and Technology Centres.

They are looking to recruit a number of skilled Machine Setters and Programmers for their site in Crewkerne.

Available positions are:

• 1 x Flex Cell CNC Operator

Using various CNC machines - manly Fanuc control

• 2 x Hard Turn Setters/Operators

Using Hardinge hard turn machines with Fanuc control

• 2 x General Machine Setter/Operator

Setting and operating a variety of turning and grinding machines

• 1 x CNC Milling Setter/Operator

Using various CNC mills with mainly Fanuc controls

• 1 x XYZ ProtoTRAK Milling Setter

Using an XYZ milling machine

Applicants need to demonstrate the following:

• Focus on safety
• Team player, flexible, working on own initiative, responsible for quality.
• Working with a variation of high to low volume.
• Experience with team improvement processes would be a bonus
• Ability to read 1st angle and 3rd angle projection drawings
• Capable in using measuring/gauging equipment.
• Manual handling
