SQL Reporting Analyst

A market leader in the provision of Customer Care and Billing systems for the UK energy market, is in a very exciting phase, with new product offerings; entering new markets; an expanding customer base and trendy new offices in central London.

As a result an opportunity has arisen for an additional SQL Reporting Analyst to join its expanding software team. This role has been created to help solve business problems for their clients in the UK energy market by converting complex data into useful information, facilitating effective decision making and providing insightful solutions to complex problems.

This role will be responsible for delivering accurate and timely management information according to business demands and will produce and design reports by drawing on complex data from the company [software system/ data warehouse].

Using SQL server analysis, reporting and integration services, this role will engage with the business to understand how they want to use the data, provide effective data analysis and ensure end users utilise the reports to their full potential.

Skills Required:
- Proficient use of SQL
- Experience writing complex SQL Server programming objects
- Experience using GIT a bonus, though not required.
- Knowledge and experience of logical and physical database architecture and schema design
- Experience working with large data designs spanning many hundreds of database objects
- Logical, structured approach to performance monitoring and tuning
- Ability to work closely with the business to understand requirements and craft solutions
- Excellent Interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively within a team and with colleagues
- Good problem solving techniques
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Be able to work effectively under pressure and manage conflicting demands
- Be able to focus on both detail and accuracy
