A senior position has arisen for an experienced Production Manager to take a leadership role in this significant specialist fabrication facility in South Wales. This arises following significant growth with our client which is a renowned and substantial international engineering group. The production facility operates on a shift working pattern and this new role reports to the Facility General Manger and takes responsibility for the management, supervision and efficient completion of all scheduled work within the facility ensuring that quality standards are maintained, the work force is efficiently deployed and that waste is minimised.
The role calls for experienced fabrication managers with a breath of specific experience that covers one or more of the client’s current sectors of activity which include oil and gas, power generation, steam boilers and associated pressure vessels and specialist construction. It is essential that the facility offers industry leading quality, cost and delivery performance to provide the group and its extensive team of project managers with a world-class output of finished products to support their project fulfilment requirements which are many and varied.
The ideal candidate will already be a proven manager with demonstrable success in leading fabrication production activities. Your career will have been developed within large and fully resourced operations which have a mix of welding codes and quality requirements. The workload is high and the teams are very experienced and skilled, you will therefore need to have in depth knowledge of high quality fabrications and associated health and safety procedures; you will also need to be an excellent team leader, motivator and organiser. You will be given lots of scope to improve and develop the effectiveness of your area and team and you will be looking for a long-term opportunity such as this which offers a very strong future career.
